I teach one-on-one piano and music composition lessons. My composition students enter contests, and my piano students perform in recitals as well as taking theory and piano exams.

I am a Suzuki-trained flute teacher, and have been teaching in Minneapolis since 2010. I welcome beginners ages 4-100 years old, intermediate students interested in college-level music studies, and amateurs at any level. I am happy to give lessons on piccolo as well. My teaching style combines Suzuki method influence with my own lesson structure, incorporating both learning music aurally and reading music. My piano studio consists of students age 4-75 of all ability levels. The program is not method-oriented
but rather, every student has an individualized curriculum. Beginners start with my own piano method which I composed. Most summers I am invited to various international festivals in Europe as a teacher and bring a large group of piano students with me. Other summer programs focus on theory and developing basic skills with nine learning stations. Multiple recitals throughout the year round out the program. some students have won national and international piano competitions.

I provide private, weekly, 30 minute lessons for violin and viola. I also accept beginning cello students (up through year 4). I have a bachelors in music education with a focus on strings, and am an orchestra teacher in the public schools.
