I am Suzuki violin and viola instructor with over 35 years of teaching experience. I also use Mark O'Connor's method as a supplement to provide a well rounded experience. My students perform 4 times yearly in the community including a Solofestival with judges who evaluate their performance and a Community Holiday Concert in December. Everything is done with consideration to the student's learning abilities and is presented in a gentle structured environment. Students are accepted starting at age 4 but I have worked with students as young as 3 with special circumstances. Parent are a valued, important part of the process and are present at lessons and work with their student at home. NO music experience necessary for parents -- part of my job is instructing the parent and making sure they feel comfortable working with their child at home.
