I am an experienced musician having studied piano and clarinet for over 20 years! I studied music at Augustana College and have over 14 years experience playing in a variety of musical ensembles and recitals. I also serve as a piano accompanist for junior high and high school students participating in solo contest.

I have 15 years of private teaching experience, a majority of which is with children, but I welcome all ages who are willing to learn! I was classically trained and successfully completed the Suzuki Piano Method series, but have experience playing a variety of genres and encourage students to learn using a diversified repertoire. My students perform 4 times yearly in the community including a Solofestival with judges who evaluate their performance and a Community Holiday Concert in December. Everything is done with consideration to the student's learning abilities and is presented in a gentle structured environment. Students are accepted starting at age 4 but I have worked with students as young as 3 with special circumstances. Parent are a valued, important part of the process and are present at lessons and work with their student at home. NO music experience necessary for parents -- part of my job is instructing the parent and making sure they feel comfortable working with their child at home.
