I’m glad you found me. The first thing you need to know is that anyone can improve their voice! Anyone! Singing is a very personal thing, and I enjoy teaching people how to use the voice they were given. Some of my students want to perform as a career; some do it for school, some for therapy! If you are looking for someone to help you prepare for auditions, put together a demo, perform in talent shows or musical theater, I’m what you need! If you are looking for someone to help you feel just a little more confidant because you just LOVE to sing, I can do that too! I will help you feel comfortable using your voice no matter what your goal is!
The studio is located in Eastvale, and each lesson is recorded onto a CD for my students to take home and practice with. Lessons can be in 30, 45 or 60 minute slots, ages 5 to adult. We will work on supporting your sound using your diaphragm, expanding your range and singing with an “open” voice…no straining or tensing of the throat. It is very important to learn the correct way to sing in order to preserve your voice! We only get one…it’s not an instrument you can replace!
We will pick songs to sing so you can apply your technique. If you are interested, I also work on performance and can help you put together an audition book.

David Flores studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (BM ’05) where he was awarded the Dean’s talent award for exceptional solo performance and the Margaret Jones scholarship for academic excellence. David completed his graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music (MM ’09). Studying closely with the members of the Cleveland orchestra helped David to achieve first prize in the 14th annual Darius Milhaud Performance Competition.
David has held positions with Opera Circle Cleveland, the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra in Ohio, and the Beck Center for the Arts performing on flute, saxophone, and clarinet in pit orchestras. Music has given David the opportunity to perform in many prestigious concert venues in the United States and Europe. Including the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Severance Hall, the Theater of Champs Elysees in Paris; Saint Francis Basilica in Assisi, Italy; at Saint Angelo Castle in Rome; and at the International Music Festival in Meiringen, Switzerland.
David Flores is a committed proactive music teacher with the appropriate resources and experience required for efficient and effective learning. Chris received his Bachelors in Instrumental Music from California State University Long Beach’s Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, studying under Dr. David Garrett, cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Joon Sun Jung. He has attended master classes with Johannes Moser, Matt Haimovitz, Andrew Shulman, Joon Sun Jung, and the Alexander String Quartet. He is a registered teacher with the American String Teachers Association and Suzuki Association of the Americas. Chris has completed Suzuki pedagogy with Rick Mooney and Dr. Tanya Carey.

Currently, Chris performs with the Dana Point Symphony as associate principal cello. He was a member of Symphony Irvine, the Montage Civic Orchestra, and the Crystal Cathedral Hour of Power Orchestra. He is a founding member of Love4Cello, a cello quartet based in Los Angeles, where he also serves as the group’s arranger. In 2014, as a member of the Southern California Chamber Ensemble, Chris performed in Nagoya, Japan, with renowned urhu virtuoso George Gao. He is a string coach for Portola High School in Irvine, and is the cello teacher for the Casa Romantica Music Festival Academy.
