Lessons focus on the student's individual learning styles, note reading and rhythms, music theory, performance techniques, ear training, and tone development. I teach flute to students of all ages and levels in a supportive and positive environment which encourages students to reach their musical potential. Lessons are tailored to the individual student to foster optimal learning. Students can participate in the MTAC Certificate of Merit program. I have a background in traditional flute methods as well as Suzuki method, and hold a BA and MFA in music. My students enjoy their lessons, and continue studying with me from elementary school through high school. I also teach body mapping to all musicians. Body Mapping is an innovative educational tool that teaches musicians how to move in a way that prevents injury and enhances performance.
