The voice is a powerful instrument that only gets better with practice.
Whether you're aiming for a career in music, preparing for a big audition, planning to enter a competition, or want to be the best singer in your church choir, voice lessons can help you become a great vocalist. All you need is a passion for music, a willingness to learn about your voice, and the discipline to practice.
Nine Muses Studio teaches a variety of styles, including classical, musical theater, jazz, and various contemporary genres like pop, r&b, country and rock. Located in South Austin, Nine Muses directs students on a path to becoming better musicians. Instruction includes vocal techniques, breath support, musicality, music theory, vocal pedagogy, sight reading, and performance techniques. Recitals throughout the year offer a chance for each student to practice performing for an audience and also provide an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate their progress.
Lessons at Nine Muses focus on the best techniques for each individual voice. Every singer is different and the curriculum for each student will take advantage of that. A well-trained singer should be able to sing any genre or style of music without discomfort. Learning healthy vocal techniques is the only way for a singer to perform various styles and continue singing for life.
Voice instructor Kylah Magee started her private studio in an effort to teach what she believed was missing from her early days of voice training: a thorough knowledge of music and the confidence to try anything.
